On April 4, 2015, nearly two dozen volunteers from the Federation’s Junior Board and their network of friends volunteered with Friends of Rockaway to help rebuild the homes of Hurricane Sandy survivors. “Our first team venture was such a success! We all learned so much,” said Anne Mao, one of three co-leaders who helped to organize the volunteer event. “We're incredibly humbled by the experience and invite others to join us at our next volunteer activity!

The Junior Board is a group of young professionals from diverse industries who are committed to delivering the mission of the Federation through community-related activities and fundraising initiatives. Members are interested in improving the lives of Asian Americans in need of social services, such as food, housing, healthcare, and education.
