AAF Statement on New York State’s Historic Investment in AAPI Communities

As proud co-leaders of the 130+ member AAPI Equity Budget Coalition, the Asian American Federation is thrilled that $30 million dollars have been restored to support AAPI communities in the New York State Budget.

As our communities have historically been under-resourced and overlooked, we are proud of the coalition’s collective organizing to center our lived experiences and social service needs as we to continue to build an inclusive and empowering community for all.

We are incredibly grateful to all the members of the AAPI Equity Budget Coalition, the Asian Pacific American Task Force, and our legislative champions and allies who have ferociously led the charge to elevate our diverse needs.
