Asian American Federation Announces New Board Chair, Vice Chair, and Members
Kim Lee and Marie Han Silloway will serve as Board Chair and Board Vice-Chair, respectively. Priya Pereira-Sawian and John Hwang have been appointed as new board members.
New York, NY – The Asian American Federation (AAF) announced the appointment of Kim Lee, Chief Financial Officer of the Global Atlantic Group, to Chair of its Board of Directors and Marie Han Silloway, Executive Partner of Chief Marketing Executive Practice at Gartner, to Vice-Chair.
Marie Han Silloway is also serving as this year’s Host Committee Chair of the AAF Impact Awards on January 26, 2023.
With expertise in the business, finance, and marketing sectors, the Board of Director’s leadership will help guide AAF through the challenges of a new era of anti-Asian hate and opportunities with Asian Americans as the fast-growing racial group and political force in the city, state, and country.
AAF is also pleased to announce that two new members are joining its Board of Directors, Priya Pereira-Sawian, the EVP/Managing Director at BCW-Global, and John Hwang, a partner at Allen & Overy.
Former Board Chair Marjorie Hsu and Board Vice-Chair Muzzafer Chisti will officially step down after the AAF Impact Awards. Hsu and Chisti have served on the Board of Directors since 2012 and 2001, respectively. As Chair and Vice-Chair they have overseen AAF’s growth into one of the premiere voices for Asian American advocacy and research in New York City.
